AI strategy

When is an organisation really ready for AI?

Being ready does not mean having licences or use cases: it means having processes, data, accountability and people able to take part in the change consciously.

The question “are we ready for AI?” often gets technological answers: we have a platform, we have licences, we have a list of use cases. These are necessary conditions, but they do not tell you whether AI will create change.

Four signs of readiness

Known processes. Knowing how the work is done today, where waiting and exceptions arise and which decisions determine the result.

Accessible, governed data. Not perfect data, but data whose origin, quality and owner are known.

Explicit accountability. Who can use which models, with which data, and who answers for AI-supported decisions.

People involved. Those who do the work take part in defining the new process and understand what changes in their role.

Readiness is not a static prerequisite

No organisation is fully ready before it starts. Readiness is built by choosing a first, well-bounded scope with a measurable result and using that path to clarify the data, rules and roles that will be needed later.

The goal is not to adopt AI everywhere, but to adopt it where it improves a process or a decision — with control and awareness.

Do you recognise one of these problems in your organisation?

Working on real problems is part of our method: it helps us see where a model is useful and where it has to be adapted to the context.
